Your Questions
Can I get credit from previous related study or work experience?
Yes. This is referred to as Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). You may not need to complete this course or parts of it if you can prove that your existing qualifications and/or work/life experience can be mapped to the units of competency in this qualification. Simply contact us on 1300 83 53 73 for an RPL Information/Application Kit.
What do my fees cover?
The one-off fee covers all course learning materials, as well as unlimited student support.
Are there exams?
No. The TAA is based on the competency completion model. This means there are assessments you will need to complete throughout the course, in your own time. The marking of these assessments will either be ‘competent’ (C) or ‘not yet competent’ (NYC) – if you do get a NYC on an assessment you will be given the chance to re-do the task to achieve competency.
Can I receive financial assistance?
If you have not already applied for government funding for this course, you may be eligible for Austudy funding. We are unable to advise you as to whether you would be eligible or not so please contact Centrelink directly on 13 24 90.
