ACETI is the Aged Care Education and Training Incentive program. Funded by the Department of Health and Ageing, the program is designed to encourage workers in the aged care industry to upgrade their qualifications.
Eligibility
Anyone who is an Australian permanent resident and working in a position providing direct care in a residential aged care service could be eligible.
Course structure
The courses are all based on a self-paced model where the learner completes the training in their own time, at their own pace. National College provides all the course materials and assigns each learner a qualified Trainer/Assessor who will facilitate the program from start to finish. There is no time taken out off working hours...it is distance-supported learning.

- CHC30208 Certificate III in Aged Care
- CHC30308 Certificate III in Home and Community Care
- CHC40108 Certificate IV in Aged Care
- CHC40208 Certificate IV in Home and Community Care
- BSB40807 Certificate IV in Frontline Management
Costs - how much the government funds
$1000 for a vocational education and training course: $500 at the commencement of training and $500 on successful completion of the certificate and continued employment in an eligible aged care service.
How much the participant pays
Certificate III level courses are $1800 $1000 is subsidised so you only pay $800, which is payable over 12 months at $66.60 per month
Certificate IV level courses are $1950
$1000 is subsidised - you only pay $950, which is payable over 12 months at $79 per month
