Home and community care work is about providing care for people who are still living in their own homes. It involves assisting people who still have some degree of independence but need some help with day to day tasks in personal care and domestic duties.

Salary
Home care workers usually earn around $20 per hour plus travel and time allowance (this means you get paid for the time spent in travelling between clients homes and the kilometres you travel).
Course entry requirements
Candidates should hold at least a NSW School Certificate or equivalent. Please note that in order to work in the home care industry you will need to undergo a mandatory police check.
