PRODUCTIVITY PLACES PROGRAM

The Productivity Places Program is a NSW government funded program targeted at upskilling people in areas facing skills shortages. It is available for job seekers and for those in employment who are interested in new more skills to get a promotion or to get a better job.

Eligibility

You need to be either a 'Job Seeker' or an 'Existing Worker'.

What is 'Job Seeker?'

Someone who is registered as unemployed or anyone who is not currently working and seeking or intending to seek paid employment or self employment after completing training.

What is an 'Existing Worker'?

If you are aged 19 and over, you just need to have worked ONE hour in the week before you start the course.

If you are aged 15 - 19 you have to have worked at least 15 hours in the week before you start the course and you cannot be enrolled at school.

Learning Modes

NCA offers flexibility. Choose the learning mode that best suits you.

  • Face to face as a regular classroom-based course. Contact us for confirmation of course dates.
  • Online Learning - study via our user-friendly online learning platform and complete your work at your own pace.
  • Distance Education - study using hard print materials, which we will send you, or
  • Blended - choose a mix of any of the modes that best suit your personal circumstances.
Fees and Charges

Job seeker courses are fully funded - they are free courses!

Existing workers are required to pay the NSW TAFE enrolment fee, which is $467 for the Certificate IV courses and $621 for the Diploma courses. The government pays the rest.

Please note, though, that is payment is for one semester only, which is 6 months. Our courses are scheduled to be completed within this time frame but if you fall behind and exceed the 6 months, you will need to pay another enrolment fee.

Fees can be paid upfront or we can arrange a payment plan for you.

Course Locations

NCA operates nationally. In NSW, our classes are held at our Head Office located at Suite B7, 12 - 14 Solent Circuit Norwest Business Park, Baulkham Hills.
Go to http://www.nationalcollege.edu.au/find-us.html for a map.

If you are an organisation, the course will be held on your premises.

This training is funded by the NSW Government in partnership with the Australian Government.
